- Share your private invitation. Send the complete link privately, or let your contact scan its QR code.
- Allow your microphone and call. Your contact opens the invite and accepts. Next time, find them in your Phone Book.
Simple on purpose
No signup form, phone number or address-book permission. Search your own contacts, choose a person and call. Audio profiles let you trade voice quality for lower bandwidth. Real-world call quality still depends on the network.
When the signal is weak
Choose Very weak / 2G before calling for a 6 kbps audio target. Network overhead is additional and voice cannot be guaranteed on every 2G link. If voice struggles, Tiny messages sends short encrypted notes while both people keep the app open, without microphone access. Notes expire after 90 seconds; there is no offline mailbox.
Privacy you can understand
Contacts and invitation secrets stay in your browser. The connection service routes encrypted setup messages and does not record your conversation. Optional call alerts need a temporary delivery address on the server. Read the full privacy explanation before relying on background alerts or sharing a sensitive invitation.
Does ImiCall work when the browser is closed?
Optional push alerts can notify supported devices. Delivery is not guaranteed. Memory-only server routing expires within 24 hours after renewal and is lost on restart. On iPhone and iPad, add the app to your Home Screen first.
Is there a login or cloud backup?
No. Your phone book is local to this browser. Keep private invitations safely if you need to restore a connection after clearing browser data.
Can the service listen to a call?
The app uses encrypted WebRTC media and encrypts call negotiation with your invitation secret. The routing service is not given that secret. This does not protect a compromised device or host, or stop the other person recording. No independent audit has been completed.
Can I use it for emergency calls?
No. ImiCall connects two browser users; it is not a telephone service and cannot call emergency numbers.
What if a call will not connect?
Check microphone permissions and connectivity. Some restricted networks need an operator-configured TURN relay. The default relay-only calling mode requires a configured TURN relay. Tiny messages can work without that relay while both people are online.
